The first sign I noticed was the guy with the shaky head. CBC Newsworld was covering the flooding of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and either unable to send their own reporter because of budget cuts or in need of American instruction on how you cover a major TV story these days, they opted for a live feed from NBC News. The number of HIV diagnoses continues to rise in American gay men and other men who have sex with men (MSM), with especially rapid increases seen in young black men, according to figures released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the June 27th edition of the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
